Starting next week (Tuesday 29th November) during your Art lessons, you will be creating an artwork that will become a permanent part of the school environment. Mrs Read is going to support you in your efforts to decorate the shipping containers located behind the Blue Building near the Staff Car Park.
Your task is to design an artwork that you will paint onto one of the walls of a shipping container. You need to plan your artwork on A3 paper (sketch out some possible designs but decide on a final one before class next week) and bring it to your Art lessons for the remainder of the term. You can plan to use a variety of colours however, we may not have the exact colours you wish to use (be prepared to be flexible with colour choice on the day).
In terms of what types of things you could include in your artwork, think about the highlights of your time spent here at SRK, the people, the great things you’ve been able to experience, the things you’ve learned, how you’ve changed over the years. You need to make sure your artwork is respectful and not offensive in any way, shape or form. It is meant to be a celebration of your learning journey here at St Richard’s.
If you have any questions, please email me via nlefevre@srkilsyth.catholic. edu.au or speak with Miss Corrone, Mr Bolton or Ms Falvey before Tuesday. Please remember that you must come prepared with your plan for your next Art lesson.
